Nkumba University has appointed Abraham Luzzi as its official Brand Ambassador, entrusting him with the responsibility of championing the institution’s image, expanding its reach, and strengthening strategic partnerships over the next three years.
The appointment, which took effect on July 1, 2026, was confirmed in a letter signed by the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jude Lubega. The role is voluntary and renewable based on performance.
Luzzi’s appointment reflects the University’s confidence in his leadership, professional achievements, and unwavering commitment to advancing Nkumba University’s vision and values. As Brand Ambassador, he will serve as a key representative of the institution, promoting its academic excellence, research, innovation, and community impact to audiences both locally and internationally.

In his new role, Luzzi will spearhead initiatives aimed at increasing student recruitment, strengthening alumni engagement, mobilizing strategic partnerships and resources, and representing the University at public, academic, and corporate events. He will also use digital platforms to amplify the University’s achievements while providing strategic feedback to support institutional growth.

The University expects its Brand Ambassador to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, innovation, excellence, and ethical conduct, ensuring that every engagement reflects the institution’s mission and aspirations.
Nkumba University clarified that the appointment does not establish an employer-employee relationship and carries no salary or employment benefits. However, the University may facilitate approved assignments and official engagements undertaken in the execution of ambassadorial duties.
In the appointment letter, Prof. Lubega expressed confidence that Luzzi would execute his responsibilities with dedication and distinction, noting that his contribution is expected to enhance the University’s visibility, deepen stakeholder engagement, and support the realization of its long-term strategic objectives.
The appointment marks another step in Nkumba University’s efforts to strengthen its brand by leveraging the influence and achievements of its alumni to inspire current students, foster meaningful partnerships, and position the institution as a leading centre of academic excellence and innovation.
