As wellknown, cancer currently has no cure and can manifest in any part of the body which makes it frightening.


Vaginal cancer is a disease in which malignant cancer cells form in the vagina. Older age and having the Human papilloma virus infection are risk factors for vaginal cancer.

Vaginal cancer causes pain or abnormal vaginal bleeding.


According to doctors, one is advised to see a physician soon after recognizing the following signs;

• Increased frequency of urination.


• Unusual vaginal bleeding after menopause.


• Painful urination


• Frequent urination.

However, some of these signs can be an indication of other diseases for example infections.

Therefore, one is advised to seek medical attention to ascertain the exact cause.

In 2020, an estimated 7,995 people worldwide died from vaginal cancer.

Good news is that when detected early, cancer can be cured.
