Nkumba University Team Visits Nabisunsa Girls for Careers Day

On June 12, 2025, a team from Nkumba University visited Nabisunsa Girls School for the school’s Careers Day. The team interacted with students from Senior One to Senior Six, guiding them on career opportunities and providing valuable insights to help them make informed

During the session, HE Gideon Mwanje emphasized the importance of three key elements in achieving success in one’s career: mentorship, faith in God, and leadership. He stressed that preparation is key to achieving a successful career, encouraging the students to start preparing early.

Nalinya Juliet, a nursing tutor from Nkumba University’s Nursing and Midwifery program, also shared her expertise with the students. She advised them on the importance of proper decision-making in choosing a career path and encouraged them to consider Nkumba University as their preferred institution for higher education.

The Nkumba University team presented the university as a nurturing environment for students to develop their careers. They encouraged the students to take advantage of the university’s resources and programs to achieve their academic and professional goals.

According to Nansubuga Aminah a student from Nabisunsa Girls attributed this guidance to a life changing session. Ssanyu Given said ” it was educating and opened up my eyes to the course of law”. Various students also expressed their love to join Nkumba for various courses. 

The visit was well-received by the students, who appreciated the guidance and advice shared by the Nkumba University team. According to the head of careers day preparations, Mr. Sendanwula thanked Nkumba University for nurturing the next generation. The interaction provided a great opportunity for the students to learn more about career opportunities and the importance of making informed decisions about their future. Nkumba University is dedicated to make careers and dreams a reality.
