The 2025 Afri Art Fashion Show wrapped up with great energy at MOTIV in Bugolobi, setting a new standard for Uganda’s fashion and art industries. What began as a one-day event has been transformed into a week-long celebration that seamlessly blends creativity, heritage, and contemporary enterprise.

The event kicked off with the Inter-University Fashion Challenge at Design District in Bugolobi an initiative designed to uplift grassroots designers. The winning group, Flaming Five from Kyambogo University, took the top prize, while additional recognition went to Angella Niyigena (Michelangello School of Creative Art and Design), Derik Kwikiriza (University of Kisubi), Kirabo Ryhan (University of Kisubi), and Rubanga Benjamin (Makerere University). Each recipient earned the opportunity to present their creations at the grand finale.
