A 1-1 draw at the beach boys Arena was enough to ensure that the Beach boys qualify on a 2-1 aggregate after claiming a 1-0 win in the first leg at Luzira.

At the beach boys Arena on tuesday afternoon, both teams started the game on a low note , perhaps the beach boys with an intention to keep the lead and Kampala university waiting for what the beach boys could bring.

However in the 20th minute both teams upped their game,.

Nkumba university first to produce multiple goal scoring opportunities mainly from Ssebadduka Kennedy and Mamur Irivia but could not find the back of the net.

However the beach boys seemed to be a little bit relaxed in their play something headcoach Bbosa Sulaiman claims was pyschological.

“The boys psychologically thought they had gone through they were pyschologically down it had ventured in their mind that we had already qualified after that victory in Luzira.”

Nevertheless, Kampala university seemed to know how to maximize their opportunities Joshua Odeke putting the ball in the back of the net in the 35th minute after Nkumba university defenders failed to clear a dropping ball. K U ending the first half with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, the beach boys came back stronger and in the just three minutes the beach boys found the equalizer, Ishaque balyawo heading the ball in the net to make it 1-1 in the 48th minute.

Bbosa says he had to remind the boys on the challenge ahead of them something he believes stirred their second half performance.

“In halftime, I had time to remind the boys about the stage we are on , the moment and what it really means. Of course they came back with a better mindset and netted that goal that has enabled us to book a place in the finals.” Said Bbosa.

Just as they did in the first game the beach boys seemed to withdraw their attacks after scoring that goal.

In the next minutes Kampala university tried to produce some moments of brilliance but could not go past the beach boys backline, the game ending in a one all draw.

The beach boys will play their first final in eight years against Mukono based Uganda Christian university on 20th April at KCCA grounds in Lugogo
