Nkumba university picks valuable point against IUIU

Nkumba university gained an away point in their second group game against Islamic university in Uganda in Mbale.

Both teams failed to find the back of the  net the game ending  in a goalless affair.

Despite ending goalless the game produced some moments that could put both teams ahead.

In the 15th minute, Musuga Isaac lost the ball in the dangerous area while Kawooya put the ball in a wide post and this was a chance for The Beach Boys to take on the lead.

Musasizi Shadat IUIU ‘s goalkeeper denied Ssewankambo a chance to score in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 42nd minute Musasizi saved Ssewankambo’s thunderbolt that ended the first half.

In the second half, IUIU progressed a nice possession as Mpande delivered a dangerous cross but the Beach Boys defender Lubega Ismael stood tall in defense.

The Beach Boy’s goalkeeper Obwana John Andrew made a wonderful save from Kawooya Shafik’s cross that was reflected from the centre circle.

IUIU dominated a good effort in the second half as Shikanga sent left cross from the box but Kalule was able to intercept.

In the 72nd minute, Otim and Kawooya made a wonderful cross from the left that was eventually saved by Obwana.

With this goalless draw, the  beach Boys managed to pick a point on the road going to four points in total.
