Every year, Nkumba University treats the new students to a party dubbed fresher’s ball. This year’s fresher’s ball will be held at Lido Beach, Entebbe today 13th September 2024.
The event is expected to attract a collections of students from all the seven schools both new and continuing.
This will be the second event for the 30th guild government having successfully organized the Annual Trade Bazaar late last month.
According to the Finance Minister, Joshua Ainomugisha, the organizers have listed a blend of artists to bring the event to life, “We know student’s taste and we have Spice Daina, Fik Fameica, Ykee Benda, and Geosteady coming through. We believe they will hype the mood and have our new students feel welcomed.”
Adding that “we have left no stone unturned, we know this comes with alot of demand to mind the safety and security of all students. We are working with all relevant security organs to ensure our people have the best experience.
Mungu Herbert, a fresher pursuing Journalism and Public Relations says he’s looking forward to having unforgetable experience while keeping all cautions intact.
“I have been on a countdown and yes, the day is here. I expect an amazing experience with my new friends. Having fun is a must, of course with caution.” he said
The previous Fresher’s ball was at Aero Beach and prior to that, WaterFront Beach played host to the coveted event.
