“I am delighted to see a group of young people being trained to passionately show love to their country,” Minister Nyamutooro said. “Uganda is all that we have, you could change everything you want in your life, but you will never change the fact that you are Ugandan.”

Minister Nyamutooro encouraged the student leaders to maximize the training opportunity, saying, “Amidst you are future leaders, so utilize this opportunity maximally and go back and impact many other young people out there.”

With the political landscape heating up in 2025, Minister Nyamutooro urged the youth to take advantage of the situation. “To all the youth, 2025 is our year; the political temperature is rising, and upon you all who have a desire in politics, utilize the opportunity, go for electoral positions, and serve your country.”

The 14-day training, which commenced on January 3, 2025, aims to equip student leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to become informed and patriotic leaders.

President Yoweri Museveni is expected to preside over the pass-out ceremony on January 17, 2025.
