Professor Jude Lubega meets the Minister of Defence

The Nkumba University vice chancellor, professor Jude lubega on Monday met the minister of defense Hon. Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempija at Ministry of defense headquarters, Kampala.

The meeting preceeded discussion regarding the different programs offered at Nkumba University with emphasis on Masters in security studies.

The vice chancellor further revealed that the University intends to start a PHD program in security studies.

In response, Minister Bamulangaki Ssempija welcomed the vice chancellor and thanked him for his efforts in amplifying academic excellence. He also gave a node to the vice chancellor’s proposal regarding the introduction of a PHD program in security studies.

The two also discussed the possibilities of introducing a security and digital forensics course. According to the minister, this would help security actors to systematically curb crime.

The Minister who is also an Alumni at Nkumba University promised continued cordial relationship between his Ministry and the University.

Nkumba University boasts of numerous security related programs with close to 50 security personnels enrolling at the institute every year.

Professor Jude Lubega was inaugurated in February 2022 and has instantly made impact at the Entebbe based higher institution of learning.

Described by many as an academic stream with sublime curation to knowledge acquisition, Nkumba University continues to engage students in innovativeness and practicality.

He is currently, the President Airforce S.S.S Alumni Society, President Samia Student's Association of Nkumba University and at the same time President of the Media Challenge Fellowship, 2023 cohort.
