The National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps (NSPC) Commissioner, Hellen Seku has launched a two-week patriotism training program for university student leaders.
The training which kicked off today, January 3rd, 2025, seeks to equip student leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to become informed, patriotic leaders. This is part of the NSPC’s efforts aimed at promoting patriotism and national unity within the country.
Established in 2009 by the President of Uganda, NSPC’s core mission is to cultivate patriotism and national pride among young Ugandans by instilling a strong sense of national identity and civic duty.
As the youngest and first female commissioner of the NSPC, Hellen Seku has been at the forefront of this initiative since inception, rallying Ugandans especially the youth to love their Nation.
Her leadership has been marked by a commitment to empowering young people with the skills and knowledge necessary to become active citizens with a strong sense of national pride.
This years training program has attracted a significant number of student leaders from across the country, signaling the growing interest in patriotism and national unity among Ugandan youth.
President Yoweri Museveni is expected to officiate at the pass-out.
