Cristiano Ronaldo Completes Move To Al Nassr Following a Two and a Half year Lucrative Deal.

Former Manchester United Foward, Christiano Ronaldo completed a transfer deal with Al Nassr on Friday, 30 December 2022 following a lucrative contract offer from the Saudi Pro League club amounting to a whooping 62 million pounds per season.

Romours of his move broke to public domain after the star spewed discontent over the affairs at Mancheter United during the World Cup break, a rant that ended his second spell at Old Trafford, late November.

Many Clubs had showed interest to secure the 37 year old football maestro’s signature but Al Nassr emerged as frontrunners after reaching a deal on Friday.

Through it’s official Twitterhandle, the club announced the historic signing,”This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @Cristiano to your new home @AlNassrFC.” Al Nassr tweeted.

The Portuguese footballer confirmed the developments on his Facebook page, “I’m thrilled for a new experience in a different league and a different country, the vision that Al Nassr has is very inspiring.” Addding that, “I’m very excited to join my teammates, and to help the team achieve more success”.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has lifted the Champions League trophy five Times, 4 with Real Madrid and only 1 with Manchester United.

His tally of 450 goals makes him Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer. He became the highest Goal scoring player in the history of men’s international football last year with 819 goals including the 118 for his country, Portugal.

He joins Cameroon forward, Vincent Aboubakar and ex-Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina under coach Rudi Garcia, the former Lyon boss.

Al Nassr have won Saudi Arabia’s top flight on 9 occasions making them second to Al Hilal, who have a record 15 titles.

Formed in 1955 and winning the Saudi top flight in their very first season, Al Nassr are only 2 points behind log leaders, Al-Shabab who stand at 25 points on the Saudi Pro League table.
