Nkumba Decides 2025: Students Await Results with Bated Breath

The atmosphere was electric as students of Nkumba University gathered outside the Ffulu building, eagerly waiting for the results of the Guild presidential election. Students were on cloud 9 as they speculated about who would emerge victorious, with some even making plans for their future based on the outcome.

As the electoral commission began counting votes, the tension mounted. Agents for the candidates were called into the building, and the candidates themselves were escorted in by their supporters, who cheered and chanted their names. The air was thick with anticipation as the votes were being counted.

As the results began to take shape, emotions ran high. Some students were overcome with emotion, with one voter even shedding tears. The tension turned to chaos when some students started throwing chairs towards the building, prompting the officers to intervene.

The suspense was finally broken when the results were announced. Mawanda Derrick emerged victorious with 466 votes, followed closely by Katende Muhammed with 379 votes, and Alinda with 296 votes. The crowd erupted into screams and cheers, with supporters of the winning candidate rejoicing in their victory.

“We are thrilled and honored to have been chosen as the next Guild President,” Mawanda Derrick said in his victory speech. “We promise to work tirelessly for the betterment of our university and our students.”

The election results marked the end of a closely contested campaign, with each candidate vying for the top spot. The students of Nkumba University now look forward to seeing how their new Guild President will deliver on his promises.

Election Results:

– Mawanda Derrick: 466 votes

– Katende Muhammed: 379 votes

– Alinda: 296 votes

-30 invalid

The outcome of the election has set the stage for a new era of leadership at Nkumba University, with Mawanda Derrick poised to take the reins and lead the student body.
