The Nkumba University men’s volleyball team, Nkumba Navy will be seeking for their first victory of the season as they battle Orange Black Busters in week 9 of the Men’s Volleyball top flight, Serie A.
The game kicks off tomorrow at noon in the Old Kampala Sports Arena.
The Navy have lost all their previous fixtures. They are seated 10th and the last on the table.
However, the Navy captain Masaaba Isma is optimistic that they are improving and certainly coming into tomorrow’s game stronger.
“Unfortunately we lost the previous games but if you look on how we have been playing despite the losses you will realise that there has been tremendous improvement game by game.”asserted Masaaba.
Masaaba attributes their poor performance to the transfer of most of the key players to bigger clubs. ” Our poor performance is due to the fact that most our players joined other clubs. Actually we remained only three from last season’s Firts team.” He noted adding that, “Most of our players are young and inexperienced they are facing the big teams with experienced players.”
Masaba however affirms that most of the players have improved and hopes for better results tomorrow.
In the other game Sky will face off with log leaders Sport-s at 2:00pm in the same venue.
