Professor Jude Lubega, the University’s Vice Chancellor, underscored the institution’s commitment to making education accessible to all, irrespective of financial limitations. “Education is a powerful tool that should be accessible to all, regardless of their financial circumstances.” said Prof. Jude Lubega.

The university has provided a downloadable scholarship application form in PDF format on its website, labeled SCHOLARSHIP-APPLICATION-FORM.pdf. Prospective candidates must submit a fully filled application form along with supporting documents to Nkumba University by January 31st, 2024, to be considered and subjected for vetting.

Over the years, the university has primarily focused on offering scholarships to students with sporting talents. However, last year marked a paradigm shift as the opportunity was further extended to the general public, regardless of their prowess in sports.

Over 500 students benefited from the scholarship program, opening up significant academic opportunities for a considerable number of Ugandans.

While the January 31st, 2024, deadline provides a limited window for submitting application forms and necessary supporting documents, candidates have been advised to expedite the submission process with swiftness.

The scholarship program aligns with Nkumba University’s commitment to educational inclusivity, amplifying its corporate social responsibility geared towards building a society where education transcends barriers.
