Team captain Kutosi Andrew expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to bounce back, noting that the team remains focused and determined to improve its performance in the upcoming fixtures. “We are in a better position to do better, and I am optimistic that we shall come out of the playoffs stronger,” Kutosi said after the match.

He credited the team’s resilience to consistent preparation and unity among players, adding that the experience gained from facing a disciplined UPDF side would help sharpen their competitiveness going forward.

Kutosi also applauded the university administration for its continued support toward sports development at the institution. “We are doing our very best to hold our university flag higher, and we thank the university administration for the support,” he added.

Nkumba University has, over the years, invested in sports as part of its holistic education approach, nurturing talent alongside academic excellence. The university’s volleyball team has steadily grown into a competitive side within university and national volleyball competitions, regularly producing players who compete at higher levels.

The playoffs now present an opportunity for the team to reaffirm its ambitions this season, as players and technical staff intensify preparations aimed at securing advancement and improving the university’s standing in the league.

University sports officials remain hopeful that the team’s determination and institutional backing will translate into stronger performances as the competition enters its decisive stage.
