The Executive Committee of the School of Social Sciences Society from Nkumba University’s Entebbe based Main campus paid a courtesy visit to the Kampala campus in efforts to ignite interactions and promote collaboration between the two.
During a dialogue, the Executives from both campuses discussed potential collaborations, including academic research and social activities like games and sports.
In his presentation, Nicklas Musasizi,The President School of Social Sciences Society from the Main campus emphasized the need for collaboration and the importance of teamwork.
With promulgation from both parties, The Guild Gorvernor’s Council-Minister of Sports was tasked with organizing a football match between the two campuses.
The delegation from the Main campus-SOSS Society Executive included the president, H.E. Nicklas Musasizi, SOSS Affairs Minister, Hon. Chikuru Chikwanine Meshack, and Deputy SOSS Affairs Minister, Shamira among others.
The visit is sought to be part of the Society’s planned efforts aimed at fostering collaboration and unity among students from all campuses which they say will enable an interactive environment for the good of all.
H.E Nicklas Musasizi, expressed gratitude for the collaborations that were fostered during the dialogue. He said, “This visit will go a long way in promoting unity among students more so those that are affiliated to the School of Social Sciences.”
Delegates from Kampala campus expressed their appreciation for the visit and highlighted the importance of collaboration and unity among students from all the campuses. They lauded the the Executive Committee of the School of Social Sciences’ Main campus for the much needed initiative.
Enacted barely 6 months ago, School of Social Sciences Society is an umbrella body bringing together over 1,000 students attached to School of Social Sciences. It is purposed on promoting collaboration, unity, and amicable networking among students within the school and beyond.
