The Chapter Chairperson, Mr. John Socrate Mugabi, says, “Nkumba University is an integral part of our community, and our goal was to ensure their membership with us.”

Mr. Mugabi explained that such affiliation would enable the university to actively participate in community initiatives, not only in terms of research opportunities but also in imparting industrial and commercial skills to community members, “we are exploring the prospect of training S.6 leavers with commercially viable skills, and Nkumba University can play a pivotal role in this and perhaps leverage on the same to enroll new students.”

Dr. John Berchman Byamukama, the Dean School of Business Administration is optimistic the membership will yield better fruits for the University, “This presents an opportunity for us to extend our reach into the community, enhance our branding, engage in collaborative research, and pursue internship and job placement opportunities for our students.”
