Bayer Leverkusen will be looking forward to add the Europe league title to their trophy cabinet and perhaps chasing a treble as they face off with Italian side Atalanta in a much anticipated Final in Dublin.
Leverkusen come in this fixture after registering themselves in the class of the invincibles having not registered any defeat in all league fixtures this season.
Putting the league aside, Xabi Alonso’s men have also never lost a game in both the Europa league and the German cup on which they are both on Finals.
On Atlanta’s side though it’s a different story, the Italians having made their first European final, they seek to win their first European trophy and also ending their trophy drought that ranges back to 1963.
The two sides possess a similarity in their style of play both playing a free flowing football something that anticipates an epic finale.
Leverkusen’s hopes rests in players like Jeremie Frimpong, Victor Boniface, Granit Xhaka, and Patrick Schick.
Atlanta on the side hopes that the likes of Mario Pasalic, Gianluca Scamacca and Ademola lukman pull up all the strings to bring the trophy back to Italy.
Sevilla has won this title the most having clinched it’s seventh last season.
Kick off: Wednesday 22nd , 22:00pm East African time.
