Reverend Father Kiibi Deogratious has challenged Nkumba University staff to be adaptable, honest, and team players in order to excel in their careers.
Speaking during the university’s beginning of semester staff meeting held today, February 27, 2025, Reverend Father Kiibi emphasized the importance of being positive, taking criticism constructively, and striving for excellence.
“In Uganda, lack of a job can be frustrating. Therefore, when you have one, please perform and add value to your workplace. No salary is small,” he advised.
The man of God cautioned staff members against selfishness, dishonesty, making false promises, pessimism, lack of empathy, and job insecurity, saying these traits can be detrimental to one’s career.
He further encouraged the University staff to prioritize their health, advising that, “eat well, sleep well, and exercise regularly.”
