Alinda Marvin, the NRM Flag Bearer in the Guild Presidential race, wowed students with an unconventional approach to campaigning when he introduced sensational musician, Beenie Gunter, to perform before officially addressing an already charged crowd during the open-air campaign on the 25th April 2025.
Beenie Gunter electrified the stage with his performance, starting with his hit track “Mo Life Mo Vibez,” a vibrant dancehall anthem that got the crowd moving. He seamlessly transitioned into “Say What You Are Saying,” his captivating collaboration with Melissa Mulungi, blending genres and crafting infectious melodies that left the students entranced.
Alinda then took the stage, addressing the energetic crowd with a passionate plea. “It’s time to reclaim our rightful place in this university,” he declared. “As key stakeholders, we deserve representation that truly reflects our needs and aspirations. Vote for me, and together, we’ll ensure our voices are heard and our interests are championed.”
The event was a resounding success, attracting massive crowds as students poured in from hostels to groove to the free music entertainment.
