Bruno Bunyaga’s hatrick and Kikambo’s late goal were enough to guide SLAU to their second consecutive win of the Pepsi University football league semi Final.
Bill Komakech pulled one to earn Kampala University a consolation.
SLAU hosted Kampala University yesterday at crown city in Kavule .
Having picked a crucial away victory in the first leg,St Lawrence University was confident that they can seal it at their home . Kampala University on the other hand were optimistic to overturn the result .
St Lawrence University started the game high getting a penalty in the first minute hitman Bruno Bunyaga stepped up making no mistake converting from the spot to give SLAU the lead.
SLAU just got fired up continuing to produce more chances but unable to convert.
However, few minutes later , Kampala University was awarded a penalty, Bill komakech stepping up to level matters for the visitors in the 19th minute.
The equalizer just heated up the game ,SLAU head coach David Nono Ssozi being sent off from the field in the 25th minute.
The sending off of the coach just fired up the SLAU boys exerting more pressure on the Kampala University defence .
Few minutes later Kampala University couldn’t contain the pressure SLAU getting the second through none else but Bruno Bunyaga 2-1 at the break.
Just few minutes in the second stanza,Bruno Bunyaga completed his hatrick adding the third for st Lawrence University in the 48th minute.
Kampala University failed to resurrect as it became St Lawrence’s game throughout the second half
Martin Kikambo sealed st Lawrence’s Victory netting the fourth in 90th minute.
St Lawrence University became the first team to book their place in the semi finals of the Pepsi University football league with a 5-1 aggregate victory.
The University football league will continue on tuesday 4th October when Bugema University makes a trip to Uganda Matyrs university.
