The Uganda women’s National Football team headcoach has summoned a squad of 38 players who will face Democratic Republic of Congo in the upcoming international friendly games.
These matches will be held in Kinshasa on 27th and 30th October 2024. This will help the women team in preparation for CECAFA Women’s Championship that will be played in November.
The head coach Sheryl Botes says that this selection squad will be a satisfaction since thet last had a competitive season last year in December and these friendly games will be an opportunity to assess suitable players.
She added that it’s unfavorable that the team will not participate in the COSAFA championship due to some circumstances but she was grateful that DRC was able to allow them have a friendly game with their team.
Coach Sheryl has invited both local and those that player from abroad. She has also included some young promising talents.
The players will arrive in Camp on Saturday 18th October and those from abroad will be received on 21st October.
