Uganda’s star striker Juliet Nalukenge has penned a one-year deal with Yanga Princess, the Tazanian based women football powerhouse.

The 21-year-old goal-scoring phenomenon, who’s been a free agent since parting ways with Apollon Ladies in Cyprus, has been snapped up by Yanga Princess in a major coup that’s expected to catapult the team to even greater heights.

Hailed as Uganda’s most successful female footballer, Nalukenge boasts an impressive collection of accolades. The sensational striker’s trophy cabinet is filled with CECAFA and COSAFA championships, a 2022 CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship title with the Crested Cranes, and league titles with Kawempe in Uganda and Apollon in Cyprus.

But it’s not just her impressive trophy haul that’s got tongues wagging – Nalukenge’s also a prolific goal-scorer with a reputation for being clinical in front of goal.

Her signing is expected to be a game-changer for Yanga Princess, who’ve already shown their mettle with a 4-0 thrashing of Mlandizi Queens in their previous outing.

After a successful stint in Cyprus, Nalukenge’s career was temporarily derailed by a knee injury that kept her sidelined for nearly a year. But the young striker’s now back to full fitness and raring to go, with her debut for Yanga Princess set to take place on December 17th against JKT.

As the Tanzanian women’s league heats up, Nalukenge’s arrival is set to add an extra layer of excitement to the competition. With her skill, pace, and goal-scoring prowess, she’s the perfect addition to Yanga Princess’s arsenal – and fans can’t wait to see her in action.
