Kampala Lord Mayor and KCCA speaker pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

The Kampala Lord Mayor, His Worship Erias Lukwago together with the KCCA Speaker Zahra Luyirika and Executive Secretaries; Johnmary Ssebuwufu and Hakim Kizza Sawula signed the Condolence Book for Queen Elizabeth II at the British High Commission today.

On behalf of the people of Kampala, the Lord Mayor expressed grief and sympathy to the Royal family and the people of United Kingdom and appreciated the Queen’s dedication to the Commonwealth and her lifetime of service. He said that this development has a direct impact on Kampala’s geospatial information system particularly; the status of the Clock Tower/Queen’s Way and renaming Prince Charles Drive to King Charles Drive in Kololo.

While appreciating the delegation from KCCA, the British High Commissioner to Uganda H.E Kate Airey reiterated their commitment and continued partnership with Kampala.
