Kampala queens came from behind to claim victory over the defending champions of the FUFA women super league She corporates.

Resty Nanziri’s strike and Shamirah Nalugya’s penalty cancelled out Favor Nambatya’s opener.

On a rainy day in Nakawa, She corporates hosted the kabojja based outfits Kampala queens.

The much anticipated fixture saw many fans maneuver to reach Nakawa despite the heavy rains .

Having lost the trophy on the last day to the corporates last season,the queens memories and agony of the loss were still fresh.

Coming with something to prove, the queens started the game on a high tempo upfront troubling the corporates defence.

Margaret Kunihira and Zainah Nandede got some chances in the first half but couldn’t give the visitors the lead . 0-0 at the break.

In the second stanza the queens continued with their dominance highly pressing the corporates.

The queens first joy had come when Margeret Kunihira headed home but their joy didn’t last long as the referee cancelled out the goal for an alleged push before the header.

Few minutes later Favor Nambatya put the ball behind the back of the net giving the corporates the lead.

Just two minutes later,the queens equalized through Resty Nanziri who made a beautiful turn to strike into the sharks net.

Ten minutes later ,Resty Nanziri was brought down in the box by Daphine Nyayenga after she was beautifully released by Zainah Nandede.

Shamirah Nalugya made no mistake but to convert from the spot turning it over for the queens.The queens claiming a well deserved victory over the corporates in Nakawa.

The win put the queens at six points after proving to be too strong for Asubo Gafford in their first game as they claimed a 5-0 win .

On the other hand the corporates remained on one point after their draw with She Mak in their opener.

In the next encounter Kampala queens will take on She Mak while she corporates will lock horns with Uganda Matyrs.
