Arsenal reclaimed the top spot in the Premier League following a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, as Lesandro Trossard’s goal proved enough to inflict further misery on the Red Devils.

The win keeps Arsenal’s title hopes alive, putting them one point ahead of Manchester City.

Trossard’s goal came in the first half when Onana’s long ball forward was headed by William Saliba to find Ben White who curled the ball towards Havertz.

The Germany international was played onside by the poorly positioned Casemiro allowing him to send Trossard upfront. Trossard was quick to steer home a cutback from close range.

Despite Machester’s efforts to equalize, Arsenal’s defense held strong as the tempo slowed after the opener.

United’s loss marks their 14th defeat of the season, further denting their hopes of European qualification. United also recorded their ninth home defeat in all competitions this season.

The match was marked by a strong defensive performance from Arsenal, with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes standing out.

Arsenal’s win was not without controversy, as United’s Amad Diallo had a penalty appeal rejected in the first half. However, Arsenal’s dominance and defensive solidity ultimately secured the three points.

The title race will now go down to the final day, with Arsenal facing Everton and Manchester City facing West Ham. If Arsenal wins their final match and Manchester City fails to win their remaining two games, Arsenal will secure the title. However, if Manchester City wins their final two matches, they will be crowned champions.
