MUBs complete dramatic come back to stun Kyambogo

Two time University football league champions MUBS  completed a late dramatic turn over against Kyambogo University in their first leg encounter in the Pepsi University football league.

Two late goals from sharif Ssengendo and Benjamin Nazar were enough to cancel out Joram Lakba’s 44th minute strike.

Having not won any game against MUBS in all the seven encounters, Kyambogo University hosted MUBS looking for a their first victory over their nemesis .

MUBs on the other side wanted to continue with their dominance over Kyambogo

Both teams started the game with equal opportunities but couldn’t find the breakthrough .

Towards the end of the first half , Kyambogo University bettered their game exerting pressure on the MUBs defense.

Their efforts were later paid off in the 44th minute when Joram Lakba put the ball behind the back of the net 1-0 at the break.

In the second half , Kyambogo continued to trouble the MUBs defence but couldn’t find the second.

Just when everyone thought it was over, Sharif Ssengendo put the ball behind the back of the net  in the 86th minute sending the MUBs fans into jubilation.

Four minutes later, the business boys taught Kyambogo men how to mean business Benjamin Nazar netting the second in the 90th minute completing a dramatic come back in Banda.

The two teams will face off again on 11th October at the MUBs Arena where the aggregate winner will qualify to the semi finals.

The second leg will resume this Thursday 29th September when SLAU host Kampala University in Kavule.
