Nkumba university humbles University of Jos in FASU games opener

It was a vibrant moment when Nkumba university known as the beach boys got their first win in the All AfricaUniversity Games(FASU) with a 2-0 against University of Jos of Nigeria.

Kavuma Abbey’s brace was enough to make sure that the beach boys start on a sharp end .

On a Sunday afternoon in Lagos the beach boys faced off with Jos university of Nigeria in their FASU games opener.

Despite facing off with a Nigerian based university , it was the beach boys that seemed to be home playing on a high intensity  and in just 34  minutes, the beach boys had already found the opener, Kavuma Abbey sloting the ball in the back of the net.

This goal gave the beach boys a positive momentum to keep pushing till the end of the first half of the game ending it with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half the beach boys returned with the same momentum,  and in the 75th minute ,Abbey Kavuma doubled the lead in the most fashionable way the beach boys taking three comfortable points.

The win means the beach boys have brightened their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of this tournament.

The beach boys will be back in action on 23rd September 2024.
