It was tears,sorrow and agony in Kanyinya village ,Kibuye sub county in Kyegegwa district as renowned NTV journalist and Nkumba University student Edward Muhumuza was put to rest today afternoon.
Muhumuza died on saturday along the Entebbe Expressway near the Mpala toll on as he was moving to Nkumba University to attend his 9:00am lecture and also submit his coursework.
Muhumuza’s burial was attended by many of his friends, relatives and most importantly his colleagues from NTV and different media entities around the country.
Muhumuza 34, was the only son born with seven girls. However his death meant that only two were left after five of his siblings parted ways with the earth before him.
In his Sermon, Pr Lincoln Benon Kigundu described Muhumuza as a humble,kind, and polite man.
Pr Lincoln further called upon all mourners to learn something from Muhumuza’s life and career.
Julius Kato who has been his editor at NTV described Muhumuza as a man who was down to earth,passionate about his job and one with a good sense of humor.
By many, Muhumuza has been applauded for his integrity and one who believed and trusted so much in his God.
Muhumuza has also been a staunch Adventist fellowshipping with Kampala Central church in Kampala
Muhumuza’s last assignment was a tour in the Albertine region where he had to produce a report concerning how the crude oil pipeline was affecting the locals in that area.
According to his close colleagues at NTV Muhumuza has a dream to be the best news anchor at NTV, a dream which he has died with .
