In glitz and glamour as guests made their way to Joritah Gardens- Entebbe in the afternoon of Saturday, June 15, 2024, to witness the Installation of irresistible presidents, Siraje Bazibu and Obrine Bwesigye Atukunda.

District Governor, Rotary District 9214 PHF Francisco Ssemwanga, presided over the ceremony, urging Rotarians to embrace the fun and fellowship of Rotaract while serving their communities. “In Rotaract, we serve through fun. I encourage you to enjoy the fun Rotary provides and, as you serve, make sure you grow in your leadership ability and professionally,” Ssemwanga said.

Outgoing President Joseph Mukasa reflected on the past year, highlighting the club’s innovations, impactful projects, and community service. “This year, 2023-2024, will be remembered as a pivotal moment in the history of the Rotary Club of Namasuba. We have introduced many innovations and practices in the management of the club,” Mukasa said.

Adding that, “We have implemented impactful projects and extended service to the community and for that reason, I want to congratulate every member of our club for walking with me on this journey. Let us continue to inspire, serve, and make a difference in the world.”

The newly installed President of the Rotary Club of Namasuba, Siraje Bazibu, expressed his gratitude to the club members. “I am humbled to have been deemed fit for the position of President to this great Rotary Club. With the support of my Board members and fellow Club members, I am committed to building on the strong leadership foundation laid by my predecessors. Our club has a proud history of service and community engagement, and I am eager to continue this legacy.”

Obrine Bwesigye Atukunda, the newly installed President of the Rotaract Club of Namasuba, assured her club of great service delivery and synergy. “I want to extend my sincere gratitude to my club members for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading our club as President for the rotary year 2024-25. I am truly humbled and honored by the opportunity.”

The ceremony also saw the induction of Nakazibwe Ronah, Lubyayi Evelyn, and Lubyayi Norin into the Rotaract Club of Namasuba. International philanthropist, Hon. Dr. Keddi Steven Eric who graced the ceremony as the chief guest, donated $3,000 to the Rotary Club of Namasuba’s service project.

The Rotary Club of Namasuba was founded in 2017 and chartered on May 30, 2018, under the leadership of Charter President Musitwa George William. The club has had six presidents, including PP Jude Lubega, PP Suzan Samula, PP Rehema Ndagire, PP Joseph Lwevuze, and now IPP Joseph Mukasa. The club formed a Rotaract to add more hands to their humanitarian service projects.
