Nkumba University Football team- the beach boys showed prowess with dominance on the ball as they hosted Entebbe Pride FC in a friendly encounter on Sunday.
The beach boys edged the visitors 3-1 ahead of their first leg encounter against Uganda Christian University in the ongoing Pepsi University Football league quarter finals.
Goals from the hitman Biko Bage ,Salah and Brian were enough to grant Nkumba university the victory.
Though the result seemed convincing, Nkumba university lethal striker Biko Bage says that it was a tough encounter .
“The game was a hard one because the team we played against was aggressive, we had to change tactics for us to breakthroughtheir defense.” Said Biko
However the south Sudanese magnificient striker also asserted that it needed them to unleash their quality so as to overcome the Entebbe Pride side.
“But the good thing is we are a good team we unleashed our quality we showed them what we are capableof.” Biko added.
The Beach boys continue to train every day in preparation for their Thursday match.
The University football league continues tomorrow as Bugema University locks horns with Uganda Matyrs university. Nkumba University will be keenly waiting to host defending champions, Uganda Christian University on Thursday 22 September at their Arena. MUBs will be away at Kyambogo University on 27th.
The Pepsi University Football league resumed on the 5th April 2022 after a 2 years hiatus due to COVID-19.
