The University Bible Fellowship (UBF) came together for the Easter Bible conference to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, filling the atmosphere with joy, hope, and renewal. Believers from different chapters, including Nkumba, Makerere, and Kyambogo, gathered at Ulrika Guest House and Hotel Kawuku to mark the significant occasion.
The event began with a powerful worship session, featuring uplifting songs and heartfelt prayers led by the UBF worship team. The congregation sang praises to God, rejoicing in the triumph of Jesus Christ over death and sin. Hymns like “Because He Lives,” “Jesus Christ is Risen Today,” and “The Old Rugged Cross” filled the room with spiritual fervor.
The UBF members shared testimonies of how Jesus’ resurrection had impacted their lives, inspiring others to deepen their faith and trust in God. Shepherd Paddy shared his life testimony of how Christ is alive in him, encouraging others to reflect on their own relationship with God.
A special Easter message, “He is Risen Indeed,” was delivered by Shepherd Akonyera Peter from the Makerere chapter, emphasizing the significance of Jesus’ resurrection in the lives of believers. “The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a cornerstone of our faith,” the leader said. “It reminds us of God’s power to overcome even the darkest of circumstances and gives us hope for a brighter future.”
Missionary Livingston Kang, the Head of University Bible Fellowships in Uganda, added, “Jesus’ resurrection is a powerful reminder of God’s love and redemption. It’s a call to live out our faith with purpose and passion, sharing the hope of Christ with those around us.”
Rebecca Song, a Korean missionary to Uganda, reflected on the significance of Easter, saying, “Easter is a time of celebration and reflection. It’s a reminder that Jesus’ resurrection brings new life and hope to all who believe in Him.”
Edward Kiseka, a student from the Makerere chapter, said that this annual event is a time for him to reflect on his life and what God has done in his life. “It’s so very important that I can’t afford to miss,” he said.
After the service, the congregation proceeded to the restaurant where a meal of resurrection was served. They ate together, sharing the good news of Christ’s resurrection and strengthening their bond as believers.
Through this Easter celebration, the University Bible Fellowship reaffirmed its commitment to spreading the message of hope and redemption to university students, inspiring students to live out their faith with purpose and passion. The event was a powerful reminder of the transformative power of Jesus’ resurrection and the impact it can have on the lives of believers.
