The match will be a testing ground to the venom’s whether they are ready to feature on big stage.

Venoms will also be tactically weighing in on how best to utilize a home advantage knowing well that their second leg tie away is an uphill task

TP Mazembe will be without four of their strong hold men.

Kabaso Chongo ,Christian Koffi Koume and phillipe Kinzumbi were slapped with a consecutive 4 match ban after an altercation against the Senegalese referee Ndiaye Maguete during their 4-1 semi final defeat to RS Berkane at Last season’s CAF Confederation Cup . Tandi Mwape is also suspended for one game.

However being five time champions and featuring most at the CAF champions league gives them superiority over the Venoms.

Vipers first defeated olympic Real De Bangui in the preliminary round to set the TP mazembe date.

The battle will not be only on the pitch but also off the pitch as Dr Lawrence Mulindwa faces off with TP Mazembe’s President, Moise Katumbi the man who inspired him to run his Vipers dream.

The winner will qualify for the CAF Champions League group stages.
