RE : INVITATION TO THE INAUGURAL LECTURE AT NKUMBA UNIVERSITY
Nkumba university has a culture of organizing an Inaugural lecture for newly appointed Professors in its community.
It is for this occasion that l have great pleasure and honour to invite you to the Inaugural Lecture by Prof. Francis Kasekende at Nkumba university – Entebbe Main campus.
The inaugural lecture will take place on Friday 30th September, 2022 at 2:00p.m.
The Topic is : “Transcending Barriers to Academic and Professional
Excellence : Leveraging strength Based Approaches”
The essence of the Inaugural Lecture include;
(i) The Inaugural Lecture is the most important lecture of a newly appointed Professor in that it spells /pulls out his or her research.
(ii) lt is also a means for the University Community and the public at large to gain an insight in the Professor’s discipline.
(iii) The Inaugural Lecture is intended to emphasize both the significance of the research and it’s implications for the discipline where the Professor specialized.
(iv) An Inaugural Lecture is a celebration and away of informing colleagues in the university and the public about the current and future research directions to which a newly appointed Professor may aspire.
Your presence at this Lecture will be source of great encouragement to the students, staff members and the entire University Community.
