Beenie Gunter electrified the stage with his performance, starting with his hit track “Mo Life Mo Vibez,” a vibrant dancehall anthem that got the crowd moving. He seamlessly transitioned into “Say What You Are Saying,” his captivating collaboration with Melissa Mulungi, blending genres and crafting infectious melodies that left the students entranced.

Alinda then took the stage, addressing the energetic crowd with a passionate plea. “It’s time to reclaim our rightful place in this university,” he declared. “As key stakeholders, we deserve representation that truly reflects our needs and aspirations. Vote for me, and together, we’ll ensure our voices are heard and our interests are championed.”

The event was a resounding success, attracting massive crowds as students poured in from hostels to groove to the free music entertainment.

Alinda’s decision to partner with Beenie Gunter was a strategic one, aimed at resonating with students. “I’m thrilled to have Beenie Gunter on board,” Alinda said, highlighting the power of music to unite people. “Music has a way of transcending boundaries, and I’m confident this collaboration will help us connect with students on a more personal level.”

Beenie Gunter expressed his excitement about joining forces with Alinda. “Alinda brings the vision, and I bring the energy,” he said. “Vote for Alinda because together, we’re unbeatable.” Beenie Gunter rallied students.

Nkumba University students will head to the polls on Saturday, 26th April, 2025, to vote for their next guild.

The highly anticipated guild presidential election is set to be a closely contested race, with Alinda Marvin, Mawanda Derrick, and Katende Mohamed vying for the top spot. Each candidate has carved out a distinct campaign focus: Alinda Marvin is emphasizing fair representation, Katende Mohamed is prioritizing service delivery, and Mawanda Derrick is championing accountability.
