The Nkumba university men’s basketball team ,the Nkumba marines claimed a 71-58 victory against Entebbe Knight Riders.
The Saturday game took place at the Knight Riders court in Entebbe.
The game saw the Nkumba marines display their skills fully dominating the four quarters to claim victory.
Though the Knight Riders had a number of chances to gather points, they lacked shooting prowess.
Ssemakula Highman, Deng Mayok, and Murundi Isaiah played to the best of their abilities tailoring counterattacks and shooting with accuracy.
Marines head coach, Mr. Timothy was happy for the win and noted that they will work harder to improve on ball dwells and finishing tactics.
“It’s a good feeling winning the game most especially an away game, a relief for us. it’s what we came for,” he said
Adding that “Every game has lapses and things you would have done better and that’s what we will be focusing on to improve and have good turnovers. We want to prepare and make ourselves better for next season.”
The Nkumba marines continue to train every day as they prepare for the season.
