In an analytical perspective it was literally hard for the beach boys to pick up points at Kavule a place st Lawrence has made a murder fortress having not lost any single game  at this ground in the past four editions.

Also for the fact that they have been a better team mort especially in the past two editions storming the finals twice unfortunately winning none.

The retantion of a number of their key players from the previous editions like David Lukisi and Fahad Aniku was undeniable they are still a strong side.

Nkumba on the other side appeared with multiple changes in their squad not having some of their best players in the previous edition.

And even with the addition of five new players who according to the way the team played seemed to have not yet settled in something the headcoach Bbosa Sulaiman believes they paid a price for

“Its unfortunate we have lost the game, the cordination was really lacking because some of our players have just come into the team they have not trained together for a long time so it has costed us most especially in the first half but we believe that they’ll improve with time as they play together.” Bbosa said after the match

Despite absolute dominance and a good display most especially in the creative midfield SLAU missed out many goal scoring chances and their headcoach David Nnono ssozi believes they still have a lot to do.

“We won the game but we have a lot to do, we thank God that we got the three points, we are going to build on that, the boys are new, coordination will come in later but the good thing, the boys have the talent, we put them not on pressure, we are demanding them not much, only to get out of the group.” He said after the game.

The vicory puts St Lawrence on top of group D with three points.

The pepsi university football league continues today with Bishop Stuart clashing with new entrants Isbat university in Mbarara ans university of Kisubi paying a visit to Kabale university tomorrow.
