It was a blend of hot air and dust at the Entebbe-based higher institution of learning, Nkumba University as 7 Guild Presidential aspirants took their last shot to convince students for votes during the open-air campaigns yesterday, 28th October 2022 at the Guild gardens ahead of elections today.
With valor, each Guild presidential candidate commanded his crowd to the venue and made way off the venue unwaveringly chanting slogans that exalt their candidates.
Imran Kigongo’s oratory skills won many hearts but with only a scanty number of students at the listening end. As a hands-on leader, Imran informed students that he already installed internet which will serve Nabagereka Hostel and the neighboring areas. The linguistically endowed independent candidate promised to deliver more if elected.
Ngirabakunzi Daniel made through with a substantially fair number packed in two Safari land cruisers. Daniel was candid about putting Nkumba first.
The South Sudanese ring-faced candidate, Toka Victor stormed the gates of Nkumba university amidst commotion and clamor. The humble servant assured students of accountability and unity if entrusted with the leadership mantle.
NUP’s Morris Ssemambo cited the need for all students to unite if Nkumba University is to break loose from the bondage of NRM.
Sharif Ssebina hinted at re-igniting sports welfare and devising a comprehensive approach to handling the plight of international students.
Renegade NRM member, Amon Muhwezi commanded a meager following. He addressed his team for less than 15 minutes leaving 30 minutes unutilized. Amon argued students not vo
