The Nkumba University Library successfully concluded its annual Library Week, after engaging approximately 1,000 students in activities aimed at enhancing their academic experience.

The 3-Day exercise saw students guided on how to connect and navigate the E-library platforms plus accessing other library services.

The University Librarian,  Madam Florence Lubega Ssebale said that this was organized to improve the student’s research and reading culture alligned to today’s digitally evolving erra.

Madam Florence further revealed  that the library’s membership at the Consortium of Uganda University Libraries enables the institution to access subsidized e-resources making alot of virtual resources readily available for students. “Our membership with the Consortium of Uganda University Libraries enables our students to access a vast array of electronic resources.”

This according to her, fosters academic excellence.

Students say, the exercise was an excellent opportunity for them to familiarize with the library’s services and resources, which eases their coursework and research efforts.

“The Library session was incredibly enlightening. I had no idea about the wealth of digital resources available. Now that I know how to access soft copies of books and journals, I am confident that I will stay on top of my coursework and submit assignments promptly.” Said Apio Grace, a First year second semester student of Business Administration.

As part of its commitment to academic excellence, the Library will now require all attendants to provide personalized assistance to students. This measure according to Library Athorities will ensure that students receive comprehensive guidance in accessing library services.
