Nkumba university will be taking on IUEA on Sunday at the beach Arena in Entebbe mathematically a week and a half ever since the two teams drew at the IUEA arena in Kabalagala.

The draw however could have acted as a lesson to both teams going into the next match and a match in kabalagala could be considered as a study centric for both teams.

At Kabalagala, it was IUEA who started the game with high intent for a win.

In that first half, Hassan wasswa Mawanda’s boys seemed to have done all their homework right completely dominating the midfield especially in the first 30 mins and picking up many goal scoring chances mostly through their shirt no 9 who made two beautiful turns within the Nkumba beach boys box but could only send the ball flying in the air.

Despite being dominated in the first half the beach boys could pick up a few chances here and there especially from that long ball played by their goal keeper to the front but the front three just failing to Capitalize.

In the second half both teams turned out different, nkumba university becoming the better side in the second half.

perhaps their style of play or Bbosa’s special tactic of the beach boys having made it a tradition to put up a better dispay in the second stanza of the game especially doing it as many matches they have played in this edition .

In that second half the beach boys could look as a team , posing a great challenge to that IUEA backline which seemed so different from how they were standing in the first half.

Mete Irivia seemed to be a great problem to the Hassan Wasswa’s charges despite being slow in making turns.

The IUEA defense identified him as a threat and could never allow him to have enough time with the ball especially those balls he received from Biko bage Jamal Nsereko and those deadly inswingers from Ismail.

Despite getting few shots nkumba’s no 9 shots were deadly hitting the post twice and and forcing a save from the IUEA ball playing goalkeeper who seemed not so good at shot stoping.

With the many chances missed in the second stanza the beach boys headcoach Bbosa sulaiman could only think the three points were possible but his boys lacked sharpness.

“Our second half Display was deserving a win though we failed to capitalize our chances securing a point is still a favorable outcome.” Said Bbosa after the match.

St Lawrence head coach Hassan remained disappointed in the result but he still displayed optimism for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Our goal advancing to the quarterfinals is very much alive were looking forward to turning the tide in our next matchup against Nkumba”. He said.

The two teams will face off again at the Beach Arena where both will need to pick up as many points to match with on form st Lawrence who have picked up maximum points as many games .
