Nkumba university inspires  Buddo students on careers day

This Wednesday, Nkumba University visited Buddo Secondary School for their Careers Day, inspiring students to make informed choices about their future.

The Team led by  Mr Mwanje Gideon informed students about the various courses offered at Nkumba University and the reasons why they ought to choose Nkumba University as their choice to achieve their dream careers.

Mwanje Gideon, a representative from Nkumba University, addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of preparing for their careers from an early stage. He quoted Martin Luther King Jr., “if It takes six hours to cut down a tree. I will use Four hours to sharpen the axe and two hours to cut down the tree,” stressing the need for proper preparation as the best idea to get the best result.

Mr. Mwanje presented the various courses offered at Nkumba University, encouraging students to consider the institution as their top choice. He highlighted the university’s commitment to providing quality education and shaping students into responsible professionals.

The theme of the day rotated around creativity to solve society challenged which he used to relate it to Nkumba University’s 4Cs : Creativity, Character, Competence and Confidence inorder for one to excel.

The event was made even more exciting with a special appearance by an helicopter from Bar Aviation, giving students a unique experience.

A senior one Student made news when he approached Nkumba University and told them he wanted to be a judge so he sough guidance on how t achieve this dream.

The Careers Day was deemed a resounding success, with students showing enthusiasm and eagerness to learn more about their future options. Nkumba University’s participation was widely appreciated, and the students of Buddo SS left with valuable insights and inspiration to shape their careers.

By reaching out to secondary schools, Nkumba University demonstrates its dedication to nurturing young minds and fostering a culture of academic excellence.
