Mengo SS lost 2-1 to Ndejje SSS in the FUFA tv cup tournament 2024 round of 64 fixture that was played at Mengo SS.
Students of both schools turned up in a large numbers to cheer up their respective football teams.
This gave the players a positive impression a positive momentum playing the game on a high.
Ndejje SSS took the lead in the first half of the game bagging the net twice through Keith Kalunda and Daniel Okello.
In the second half, Mengo SS managed to pull one back through striker Alvin Kizito and this gave the boys hope to keep pushing for an equalizer.
Despite the different chances created, they failed to find the equaliser Ndejje winning 2-1.
This year’s edition marks the second time this tournament is being played having been inagurated last year with an aim of catering for talents in the “traditional schools” that don’t get chance to participate in the USSSA games.
Last year’s Edition was won by St Mary’s college Kisubi after edging Kira college Butiki 2-1 in an epic final.
This year’s edition has seen increase in teams up to 66.
