Nkumba decides 2024: Orisingura picks nomination forms

NRM candidate Orisingura Benson Teeka has officially picked nomination forms from the guild information centre for his stand as guild president.

Benson arrived with his team at around 3:00pm amidst chants, songs and jubilations.

The NRM candidate has been handed the nomination papers by the chairperson electoral commission and vice chairperson .

In an interview after the nomination, Benson urged Nkumba students for their support.

“Today I’ve picked the nomination forms from the electoral commission , like my theme goes we are in this together I request all Nkumba students for the support we are in this together and with your support as I go through we shall bring change in Nkumba.”

Benson becomes the second candidate to have picked the nomination forms after Zziwa Bashir yesterday.

According to the roadmap released by the electoral commission, the vetting of the candidates will take place tomorrow Friday 19th at the guild information center.

Elections are slated to take place next week on Saturday 27th where a new guild president will be put in power replacing Ignatius Kangave Musaazi.
