96 Christians from St Mark Church of Uganda-Naminya have been conferred with the Holy Sacrament of confirmation.
The holy act was performed by Rt Rev James William Ssebaggala together with Maama Tezirah Ssebaggala Nakimbugwe today.
In his sermon, Rev. Ssebaggala appealed to believers to accept and utilize the gifts of the holy sacrament of confirmation as instituted by Jesus Christ.
His eminence Rev. Ssebaggala also commissioned Naminya Youth Empowerment Project as he bid Farewell to Naminya Parish.
While Confirming the Youth Empowerment program, Rev. Ssebaggala urged the youth to be faithful and hardworking as they serve God who will lead them to success.
In attendance were the Archdeacon Venn Ignatius Bogere Kabuka, Maama Proscovia, and the Area Member of Parliament, Njeru Municipality Hon Jimmy Lwanga who is now the trust of the Youth Empowerment project.
Th President Christian Women Fellowship,Robinah Lukwago together with the President Christian Men Fellowship, Herbert Ssenfuma also graced the occasion.
Other diginitories included Milly Nakirya, the Diocesan President of Mukono, Lay Readers and People of God.
As a sacrament instituted by Jesus Christ, Confirmation confers the gifts of the Holy Spirit upon the recipient. The recipient must have been baptized and at least seven years old.
The gifts of the holy spirit include wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, piety, and fear of the Lord.
