” I have what it takes, I am laying down a five-point manifesto, which pricesly captures promoting unity among association members, initiating the ULSA journal and magazine, lobbying for the association’s funds basket, enhancing branding, and fostering collaborations with other law student associations beyond Uganda.” Said Mwanje

“I believe with unity, the association can achieve the impossible.” He added.

He is now calling upon fellow Law Societies Presidents from various Universities to rally behind him as he seeks to foster leadership endowed with accountability and authenticity, a kind he believes will resonate with the association’s slogan, ‘Stronger together.’

Mwanje Gideon’s landslide victory in the Nkumba University law society’s presidential election on March 24th, 2023, propelled him into the spotlight.

Since assuming office, he has made significant contributions to Nkumba University’s legal community, founding the Nkumba University School of law research club, Nkumba law students Journal, Nkumba University students’ magazine, and being a founding member of the moot court society.

The Uganda Law Students Association is an umbrella Organization that unites over 14 law faculties across the country with the purpose of working together in advancing legal training.

The Association was born out of the need to bring together Student’s Law societies in Uganda and enable not only interaction but also mutual discussion on issues concerning apportunities and challenges encountered in studying Law and how to amicably maneuver as students.
